This and That
I bought a webcam this weekend. Erin, my darling little Fae, will be bouncing around couches for the next few months, but the end result is that she will be moving to New Zealand and I wanted to practice getting all of the kinks out of video Skyping. I want to be able to feel like I am still close to her. Well, and I can get to know her girlfriend better. (I like Moira. Such a rarity.)
I spent a few hours yesterday fiddling with the camera and playing with the different programs. I am disappointed because my ancient computer and stressed wi-fi connection mean that my video quality is on the medium side, but I am sure that I will work something out. Like, I could kill mom's connection to make mine stronger. Just kidding.
I am still writing my fanfiction for Leverage. There, I said it. I've admitted to a hobby that isn't particularly enviable. Except, it is something. In all of the long hours between cleaning and cooking I can jot off a few lines in a fantasy world. I don't figure it is any different that playing video games or watching television.
Tomorrow will be the first time I am well enough to watch Seth. I am hoping that Samantha will be able to bring him by for me. We bought him some balls and a little blow up pool, like we did for Mazzy, so that he can play in a little ball pit. I imagine that he will look so different. He's going to be a toddler, soon. So weird.
I suppose that it is all, for now. It is like I have something else to say, but the words are missing.
