Lifeline
Part of the healing process, for Adam, has been clingling to our daughter. Mazzy has been his comfort, his love, his reason why it was okay that we asked his dad to leave.
She has changed so much in the last week. She is crawling and pulling up on furniture. She is pushing herself in to a sitting position and exploring EVERY thing in the house.
They have been spending a lot of time together. She follows him from room to room. When Adam is around, her eyes are glued on him. It makes me feel good.
If Adam set out to create a "Mini Me" he succeeded. She wants to be just like him with every fiber of her six month old body.
I know that Adam is healing and mourning and hurting, but I am so glad that he is able to have this time with Mazzy. They are so close, now. I try not to even hate the fact that Mazzy rejects me once in a while. I guess I deserve it.
