A new source of protein
A long time ago I was a vegetarian. I wasn't a strict vegetarian because it wasn't about health or saving the animals; it was because the texture of meat made me ill. Eventually I was able to introduce meat back into my diet and my time as a non–meat eater faded.
Fast forward to about a week ago; I was de–boning a chicken and was overwhelmed with nausea. Blech. I haven't been able to eat meat since then.
I know that going cold turkey is a bad plan, but I haven't been able to make myself chew meat. Or eggs. And I love eggs. It's so weird.
After giving it a few days and realizing the feeling wasn't going away, I manned up and told Adam that I may be a non–meat eater for a while. He handled it way better than I expected him to take it. He has been very negative about my veggie leaning personality, and but I guess I have won him over.
Now I have this feeling of "Now what?"
We're going to the store today and I need to fill out my diet as a vegetarian. So weird. And I need to plan meals where I can still cook for Adam, and but make non–meat options for me. Adam even seemed open to reducing the amount of meat he eats.
Whoa.
I'll keep you posted.
