Hi there. I'm sipping tea and considering a nap. Nora has decided that four in the morning is a reasonable wakeup time. She's wrong, of course, but fighting her is out of the question.

I think I've found the secret to making me rest more often - make the house hotter. In an effort to save money I've reset the thermostat to 80 during the day. I feel like I'm slogging through soup. By lunch in ready for a nap.

Of course, it may just be because Nora is sleeping poorly and I'm overwhelmed by financial concerns. My initial coping mechanism is to sleep until it's over. After a say, our so, I enter reality and act like a grown up, again.

I'm still avoiding meat. Being vegetarian while shopping at a chain store is a little boring. I also had the misfortune of having to toss all of my salad for the week out due to recall, so most of my meals were a bit tricky. I ate more rice than I wanted to as a result. I know lack of variety will be my downfall.

Most of my life is boring. I'm poor. And the tunnel seems very, very long.

you need to get some vital wheat gluten and nutritional yeast, and make your own sausages with beans. I know this sounds crazy, but seriously. Those ingridents are cheap and last a long time. chain stores sometimes have wheat gluten flour, but nooch might be harder to find. I make these all the time http://www.theppk.com/2012/01/vegan_sausage/ and they're great! Filling and quick, not a lot of active time. And then when i want them, just fry them up. Easy peasy, cut em up and throw them in pasta. Regular sausage for your man, veg sausage for you.
