Strangely Enough

I went to a former co-worker's bridal shower yesterday afternoon. I hadn't been close to the girl in question in years, but I felt like I should go, nonetheless. It turned out to be a fairly good idea. The shower was small and straight to the point, lasting just under two hours. I am very pleased with that. I even managed to have a good time, having made friends with a lovely woman and her sisters. There were high hopes that I would be able to attend the wedding, but seeing as it is in Galveston, I don't think my family and I will be able to go. There would be the possibility of going alone, or bringing the baby, but financially it is a bad idea. I think my best course of action is regretfully decline.

It makes me a sad that I have to decline. I don't care about the wedding itself, but the chance to socialize and meet other adults would have been delightful.
