Mother's Day
I made lunch for my mom and Reba and Mike today. They were a little concerned that I was cooking on my first Mother's Day, but came around to the idea that I wanted to celebrate the way I wanted to celebrate. I had it in my head that I wanted to sit the dining room table we have only really used to hold things during parties and eat off of the dishes that we washed and then put away. The first meal to ever touch those plates was shepard's pie and sald. I said I cooked, I didn't way it was fancy. We had wine that was cheap and laughs that were real. It was a good way to celebrate, dammit.
Mazzy even managed to take a nap right about time lunch was served and woke up chipper and smiling.
That's a good day, Tater.
